About this event:
Baby sleep can be confusing, especially when so much advice centers on one milestone: “sleeping through the night.” But frequent waking, changing sleep patterns, and the need for caregiver support can all be normal parts of infant development.
In this evidence-informed conversation, we’ll explore how baby sleep develops from the newborn stage through the first year, including infant sleep cycles, nighttime waking, self-soothing, and independent settling. We’ll also look at common sleep-training methods, including Ferber and other behavioral approaches, alongside responsive alternatives and practical strategies for supporting healthy sleep.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of normal newborn and infant sleep patterns, safe sleep practices, sleep-support products, and when persistent sleep challenges may be a sign that it’s time to seek professional support. Wherever your baby is on their sleep journey, you’ll gain practical context to make informed, responsive choices with greater confidence.
