The Great Screen Time Debate is a candid, judgment-free conversation about one of modern parenting’s most confusing topics: kids and screens. Join Devyani Chaturvedi, Senior Nutrition Scientist at SmartyPants Vitamins, Erica Foley from Tonies, and board-certified pediatrician Dr. Mona Amin, Founder of PedsDocTalk, as we tackle screen-time limits, content, mealtimes, screen-free alternatives, and what realistic boundaries can actually look like. Parents will leave with practical guidance for creating a healthier relationship with screens without the guilt. Special thanks to SmartyPants Vitamins for bringing this conversation to the Auggie community.

About this event:
Screen time might be one of the most debated topics in modern parenting. How much is too much? Does what kids are watching matter more than the number of minutes? Is “educational” screen time actually educational? And should we really feel guilty about turning on a show when we need to make dinner?
Join us for The Great Screen Time Debate, a candid, judgment-free conversation about what parents actually need to know about kids and screens. Devyani Chaturvedi, Senior Nutrition Scientist at SmartyPants Vitamins; Erica Foley from Tonies; and Dr. Mona Amin, board-certified pediatrician and Founder of PedsDocTalk, whose new children’s show Happy Pappy launches September 19 on YouTube for kids ages 2–6, will bring different perspectives to the conversation as we unpack the research, the realities of modern family life, and what a healthy relationship with screens can actually look like.
Together, we’ll tackle screen-time recommendations, what kids are consuming, screens around meals and bedtime, educational content, screen-free entertainment, independent play, transitions and tantrums, and the parental guilt that so often comes along with all of it.
Parents will leave with practical guidance for making thoughtful choices around screens without obsessing over every minute or feeling like they’re getting it wrong.
A special thank you to SmartyPants Vitamins for bringing this conversation to the Auggie community.
