About this event:
Every family has moments in the day that generate outsized stress. The morning scramble to get everyone out the door. The 5:30 dinner-homework-meltdown . The bedtime routine that somehow takes two hours. The invisible pile of planning, remembering, and coordinating that runs underneath it all; what we call “the third shift.”
This session is a live AMA to fix exactly those moments. Bring the part of your day that you keep reflecting on and wondering why it didn't go like you hoped -- and we'll troubleshoot it together, right there on the spot.
Come for the hot seat or come to listen. You can bring your own sticky situation for live troubleshooting, or settle in and pick up ideas from everyone else's -- many people find a fix for something they didn't even think to ask about.
Bring anything family operations related:
- Morning and bedtime routines that eat more time than they should
- The dinner hour(s), from planning to cleanup
- Delegating and finding help that actually helps
- Sharing the load with a partner without managing them like a project
- Any recurring irritation you've stopped noticing because it's just "how it is"
Jennifer will help you design a fix on the spot, one that fits your family, your constraints, and your actual life. Bring your irritations and an open mind.
Led by Jennifer Mickel, founder of The Third Shift, a company that applies management frameworks to the mental load of parenthood. Jennifer is a mother of two, former MBB consultant, JD-MBA, and coach.
