About this event:
Parents often come to me saying they've tried handing things off, and it didn't work.
Some never got a break from the mental load of tracking the task.
Others tried to let go only to find that two weeks later, the task was back on their plate: a question only they could answer; a detail that slipped; a follow-up nobody else thought to handle.
If you're succeeding at the delegation handoff but things go awry afterward, this session is for you.
In this session, you'll learn to:
- Diagnose the issue: See why some handoffs stick and others keep coming back
- Delegate cleanly: Hand off whole areas of responsibility, not one-off tasks
- Create scaffolding for success: Give the people helping you what they need to run with it, without checking in with you
- Eliminate hurdles: Troubleshoot your specific examples live
- Implement: Choose one handoff to set up before the holidays, so it holds while you're offline
There will be time for Q&A in this session, as well as during the January AMA (Mon, Jan 25), which you can register for here: Ask Me Anything: De-stress Your Family Operations.
Led by Jennifer Mickel, founder of The Third Shift, a company that applies management frameworks to the mental load of parenthood. Jennifer is a mother of two, former MBB consultant, JD-MBA, and coach.
