About this group

You had a baby. At some point after that, someone told you to "do some kegels" and sent you on your way. Maybe you tried. Maybe you're still not sure you're doing them right. Your belly domes when you sit up. Your ribs feel wider than they used to. You don't know if that's normal, a diastasis, or something you should be worried about, because nobody checked. And nobody showed you how to check yourself. That's what these three weeks are for. I'm Dr. Ashley, a pelvic floor physical therapist in Denver. Over three live sessions I'll teach you what I teach my patients in the clinic: how your diaphragm, ribs, and deep core are supposed to work together after birth, and how to assess your own body so you stop guessing. What we cover: Week 1, Tuesday Sept 22: Breathe and assess. Why your diaphragm controls the whole system, and why breath comes before any ab exercise. Then you'll check your own diastasis (the gap in your abdominal wall) and your rib position, with me walking you through it live. Week 2, Tuesday Sept 29: Reconnect. How to actually engage your deep core. Crunches are not on the list. We'll also work on rib flare and why it keeps your core from holding. Week 3, Tuesday Oct 6: Rebuild. How to add load safely (the car seat, the stroller, the gym) and what your next eight weeks should look like. Each session is 60 minutes, live on video, 11am Mountain time. Who this is for: You're anywhere from six weeks to a few years postpartum, cleared by your provider for activity, and you want to understand your core instead of following a random reel. If you've been told "everything looks fine" and it doesn't feel fine, this is your room. Why only 10 people: I'm watching you breathe, assess, and brace in real time and correcting what I see. I can do that well for 10 people. What it costs, and what you get back: $150 for all three sessions. If you decide afterward you want me to look at your body one-on-one, $100 of that comes off your initial evaluation. So if you continue with me, the series costs you $50, and you walk into that evaluation already knowing your own baseline. One thing to know before you buy: This is education, not a diagnosis. I'll teach you to assess yourself, but a self-check on a screen is not the same as me having my hands on your ribcage. If something you find raises a question, that's exactly what the evaluation is for, and your credit will be waiting. "After pregnancy I was dealing with multiple problems and she took the time to listen and created a plan for getting me back to feeling more like myself. We worked on pelvic floor coordination, deep core strength, hips and glutes, and slowly got back to my goal." Barbara C., Woven Wellness patient We start Tuesday, September 22. Ten seats.
