About this group
Every child's nervous system takes in the world differently - some kids need more input to feel regulated, others are overwhelmed by input most people don't even notice. When you don't know which pattern you're looking at, it's easy to misread what's actually going on. Over two sessions, you'll learn to become a detective of your child's sensory world - reading their cues, understanding the difference between seeking and avoiding, and building a personalized toolkit of strategies instead of guessing your way through each hard moment. In Session 1, we'll dig into what sensory processing actually is, identify your child's sensory profile, and how to start detecting the patterns in your own environment - the first real step toward building your toolkit. In Session 2, we'll build that toolkit out further, layering strategies together, adjusting your environment intentionally, and working through one of the trickiest calls parents face: when to accommodate a sensory need and when gentle exposure actually helps. This series is for parents who want to move past generic sensory advice and build something specific to their own child - hands-on, practical, and strategies to keep using long after the two sessions end.
