Infant Eczema Explained: What Parents Should Know

About this event:

When eczema shows up on your baby’s skin, it’s natural to wonder whether something in their diet or yours - is causing it. Then come the questions about food allergies, gut health, probiotics, and what eczema might mean as your child grows.

In this practical, reassuring conversation, Dr. Liz Daniels, DO, RDN, board certified pediatrician and registered dietitian will explain infantile eczema, the type of eczema that typically appears early in infancy. You’ll learn what may be happening beneath the surface, including how the skin and gut interact and what we currently understand about eczema and food allergies.

We’ll explore evidence-based ways to support allergy prevention when possible, what to watch for as your baby grows, and what having eczema may mean longer term. We’ll also sort through common claims about probiotics, supplements, maternal diet, and gut health so you can distinguish useful guidance from myths and outdated advice.

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of infant eczema, allergies, and nutrition—and more confidence about what actually deserves your attention.
