About this event:
Feel like starting solids comes with a secret set of rules everyone else somehow knows? Introducing solid foods can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. This event will help you understand what really matters as your baby begins exploring food, so you can approach mealtimes with more confidence and less stress.
We’ll look at your baby’s nutritional and developmental needs around 6, 9, and 12 months and how those milestones can guide your feeding plans. You’ll also learn practical approaches to food safety, choking, serving sizes, feeding tools and products, plus when it may be helpful to seek specialized support. Along the way, we’ll unpack updated research and clear up some of the things parents are often told to worry about - but don’t need to.
Led by Dr. Liz Daniels, DO, RDN, board certified pediatrician and registered dietitian, this interactive session will finish with a practical exercise: taking a typical “what I eat in a day” and adapting it for baby. You’ll leave with a simpler approach to starting solids—and ideas for feeding your baby without creating an entirely separate menu.
